Employers, you may be eligible for a tax credit when you hire your next employee. Through a cooperative effort between Rock River Training Corporation and the Illinois Department of Employment Security, RRTC is able to qualify prospective employees and process the necessary paperwork to reduce your employment costs.
The Illinois Small Business Job Creation Tax Credit. The tax credit gives small business owners an extra boost to grow their business over the next year. After creating one or more new, full-time positions that meet the eligibility requirements, small businesses can register online to receive a $2,500 per job tax credit.
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit applies to businesses hiring from targeted groups of individuals and provides a credit of up to $2,400 for each new hire the first year. But the maximum credit is $4,800 for a disabled veteran and $9,000 over a two-year period for long-term Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients.To find out how your business can qualify for one or both of these tax credits, contact us for more information.
