Resource Room

Within the the Workforce Connection Center, there are FREE job-seeker and employer resources. The Resource Room is a self-access, go-at-your-own-pace, environment. It is targeted to help both job seekers and employers, and includes all of the following at no cost to you:

Internet Access to employment-related sites

Multi Media Resource Library including books and videos on job searching, career/occupational information, life skills, educational programs, resume and cover letter writing, job outlook, specific company information, phone books for surrounding areas, the city directory, and a business directory

Computer Programs including Interest Survey, Win-Way Resume Writer, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Typing tutorials, Financial Aide Information, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Illinois workNet and O*Net, a dictionary of occupational titles

Computer-Based Tutorials on Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003

Handouts and pamphlets including information on social services available in the community, financial aid, careers and labor market information, job search aids, veteran's information

Information Sessions on the Internet

Copy Machine is available to copy job-related materials.

Fax Machine is available for sending applications, resumes, or other job-related documents.

Telephone is available to job seekers and employers.

Laser Printers are available for printing high-quality documents.
