Individualized Services help identify barriers to employment by conducting comprehensive assessments to determine specific needs. Services include counseling and career planning, referrals to community services, and, if appropriate, referrals to training.
An Individual Employment Plan is then developed that outlines employment goals, appropriate achievement objectives, and appropriate services needed for the participant to achieve his or her employment goals.
Individualized Services include short-term pre-vocational services that are needed to improve learning, communication, interveriewing, personal maintenance, professional conduct, and punctuality skills that may be needed to prepare individuals to enter training and or unsubsidized employment.
Individualized Services may also include individual and group counseling, English language acquisition services, and integrated education and training programs needed to obtain or retain employment that leads to self-sufficiency.
