The United States Department of Labor, the Social Security Administration, and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity have established initiatives to inform and work with employers, service providers, and people with disabilities in a number of ways.

Our goal is to help the disabled maximize their economic self-sufficiency through employment. Rock River Training Corporation utilizes online disability resources accessed through the disabilityworks Illinois WorkNet portal. The Workforce Connection Center staff work with adults and youth with disabilities who choose to work.

We help promote comprehensive American Job Center services by breaking down barriers that keep people with disabilities from finding jobs. RRTC and other Workforce Connection partner agencies work directly with employers to meet labor market demands. Through employer education and job matching, employers can find the right employee for the right job. Through information and referral, people with disabilities can find the right kind of job training or job placement program.

Rock River Training Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all state and federal nondiscrimination laws in the administration of its programs, and requires the same of all program service providers.

Program funds are provided through a contract with Rock River Training Corporation and by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the U.S. Department of Labor. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

All programs are subject to the provisions of the "Jobs For Veterans Act" Public Law 107-288 which provides priority of service to veterans and spouses of certain veterans. Contact the WIOA Equal Employment Opportunity Officer at (815) 395-6688 or TTY (815) 966-2436.
